Kindergarten - Our kindergarten students are working on patterns right now in Investigations, Unit 3. Although the patterns they have been learning about (AB, ABC, etc.) are not in the Common Core Standards, this unit provides a foundation for number patterns and skip counting, which is foundational in the Common Core in future grades. They are also learning about counting and pattern block shapes! Fuel the Brain is an awesome website that can help students on their journey through understanding patterns and counting: http://www.fuelthebrain.com/Guides/view.php?ID=319
st Grade - Our 1st graders are working representing and solving problems involving addition and subtraction in Investigations Unit 3. This unit focuses on the Operations and Algebraic thinking strand. This Fuel the Brain link can also help our 1st graders with problem solving through games!

nd Grade - Our 2nd graders are working on measurement. They will be learning how to measure and estimate lengths in standards units, relate addition and subtraction to length, work with time and money, and represent and interpret data.
rd Grade - Students are working on Unit 5 - Equal Groups in Investigations. During this unit, students are formally introduced to multiplication and division for the first time. Students are learning to look for patterns and structures (MP7) with multiplication combinations (For example, they will learn that 7 x 8 is the same as 7 x 5 + 7 x 3.)

th Grade - Students just began working on a geometry unit where they will solve problems involving measurement and conversion of measurements from a larger unit to a smaller unit. They will also learn to understand the concepts of angles and angle measurements.
th Grade - In Unit 4, our 5th graders are working on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.
